WOW!

So we have hiked 114 miles over the past 9 days, and it was HARD! I can't even begin to describe the difficulty of long distance hiking like this, it's like nothing I have ever tried before.

Mt. Kathadin, where we started on 7/8 was a huge challenge. It's 5.2 miles to the top, and 5.2 down, and it was easily the most difficult terrain I have ever encountered. It took me 4 hours to get to the top, including going over a major rock scramble. It was a rough day, but incredibly satisfying as well.

The next day we hiked 10 miles down, experienced terrible chafing, and camped at our last stop before we entered the 100 Mile Wilderness. On 7/10, we entered into the 100 Mile Wilderness, and walked out early this morning.

Over the past few days we have experienced rain, huge mountains, and hot weather. It was very difficult, but so rewarding. I can't thank all of you enough for your support, it means so much to me. There should be a more detailed post later on, but this will have to do for now.

It's Finally Here

Tomorrow I leave for Maine to begin my hike. I don't know when I will first be able to update, but I am sure that it will be a good post.
